Burnt Colours
  • Burnt Colours

I visited a nearby nature reserve after the local parks authority had conductued a planned burn off in order to see if there would be any interesting and unique compositions.  Initially all that I found were the charred remains of a lot of the native species however, as I ventrued further into the area the landscape became more appealing.  This was around the endges of the burn off where the ground had been scorched but a number of trees had only suffered damage to the leaves which turned them a vivid orange.  I saw this particular tree in the distance and spent considerable amount of time refining the scene to ensure there was a subtle blend of contrasting colours and was extremely pleased with the final result.
