Guardian
I had taken this image as more of a test shot one summer evening in 2023 but, the more I looked at it over the following months the more I began to like it as a final image. For me, it is the symmetry that holds my eye, especially how the seaweed on the reef seems to match with the clouds above and how the small peninsula of land the lighthouse stands on rises and falls the same on each side. The contrast of the cooler blue in the sky as well as the warm evening glow on the foreground adds a further, visually pleasing element.
