After a busy day at my market stall, I'd just finished unloading the equipment from the car, when I could see that there was an enormous potential for a serious sunset.  The day had been very humid and steamy, which is reasonably rare for Melbourne, and these conditions had continued into the evening.  As it was late, I didnt have much time to find a location so headed to a local area I know very well.  The colour in the sky was beginning to build when I arrived so it was race against time to finalise my composition.  I'd photographed around these rocks before, but the combination of the low tide and still conditions exposed them in a way that was very much like the petals of a flower.  Even though it was a rush, I managed to set up my gear and take this majestic shot before the best of the light disappeared.
